The System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and managing the organization’s IT systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing technical support, and managing network infrastructure. The role requires collaboration with other departments to ensure the seamless operation of systems and policies. ΑΡΜΟΔΙΟΤΗΤΕΣ ΘΕΣΗΣ Ensuring the normal functioning of IT systems Checking and solving problems that affect the performance of the system or the accessibility of an IT service. Optimising the system, such as changes based on the changing needs of end users and the organisation. Monitoring for potential issues in a proactive manner Monitoring the status of the system and identifying for any unusual network activity, which may include security-sensitive actions such as illegal network access or data transfer. Communicate with both IT, security and logistics departments. Supporting compatibility between systems Provide support to IT team members by ensuring that systems and new functionality introduced are compatible with the current IT infrastructure. Evaluate the reliability of server demand performance. Setting up and updating hardware, overseeing patch management activities relating to systems. Management of the database functions Improve the security, efficiency and productivity of database management systems. These activities include data movement, design, configuration, installation and monitoring. Care of access privileges Oversee user access privileges and all services and applications, providing everyone with secure access to the necessary services and applications. Planning for backup and recovery needs Manage backup and data recovery tactics in various IT systems and software development lifecycle (SDLC) contexts. Checking on server health Automation of repetitive system administration tasks Definition and implementation of authentication measures Oversee the company's guidelines and single sign-on (SSO) procedures, ensuring that all system security standards are met.ΑΠΑΡΑΙΤΗΤΑ ΠΡΟΣΟΝΤΑ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 5+ years of proven experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role Experience in any of the following sectors: o System Administration (Linux, Unix & Windows) o Domain Administration (Group policies, DNS, SCCM, κλπ.) o Exchange Administration o Data Center Administration & Networking o Database Administration (Mongo, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, κλπ.) o Virtualized Environment Administration o Dockerized Environments & Kubernetes Excellent knowledge of the English language ΕΠΙΘΥΜΗΤΑ ΠΡΟΣΟΝΤΑ System Administration and Network Administration skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to multi-task and change priorities with short notice.
